Real Oviedo secures 2-2 draw against league leaders Almería

Real Oviedo overcame a two-goal deficit to secure a 2-2 draw against league leaders UD Almería, halting Almería’s streak of seven consecutive victories. Almería took an early lead in the first half through goals from Sergio Arribas and Miguel de la Fuente.

In the second half, Oviedo mounted a comeback fueled by a goal from Jacobo González and an own goal by Pulido. The match was marked by technical difficulties, including a VAR malfunction and an injury to referee Daniel Cid Camacho.

Prior to the match, the Oviedo squad faced significant travel delays after their scheduled flight failed to arrive in Asturias. The team was forced to wait several hours at the airport for a replacement aircraft from Valencia, disrupting their rest schedule before the fixture.
