Realme increases smartphone prices in India by up to ₹4,000
Realme has implemented a price increase across several smartphone models in India, affecting both its premium 16-series and budget C-series devices. The price hikes range from ₹1,000 to ₹4,000 per unit, depending on the specific model and memory configuration.
The most significant increases were observed in the flagship and mid-premium segments. The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G (8GB + 128GB variant) saw a price rise of ₹4,000, moving from ₹49,999 to ₹53,999. Similarly, the Realme 16 Pro 5G (8GB + 128GB variant) increased by ₹4,000, now priced at ₹44,999. Other models, including the Realme 16 5G and 16T 5G, experienced increases of ₹1,000 per variant.
Even budget-oriented models like the Realme C83 5G and C100x 4G were impacted by the price adjustments. The company attributed these changes to the rising manufacturing costs of core components, specifically semiconductor chipsets, memory modules (RAM and NAND flash storage), and display panels, alongside increased logistics expenses.
