Realme switches to ColorOS 17, device upgrade list released

Realme has confirmed that its proprietary Realme UI will be retired and replaced by Oppo's ColorOS 17. All new Realme smartphones will ship with ColorOS, and a range of existing models are expected to receive the upgrade based on the company's past update policy. The inferred eligible devices include the GT series (GT 8 Pro, GT 7, GT 7 Pro, GT 7 Pro Racing, GT 7 T, GT 6, GT 6 T, GT 5 Pro), the numbered series (Realme 16 through Realme 14 Pro+), the P, C, Note and Narzo series, and the Realme Pad 3 tablet. The change is mainly a branding shift, as Realme UI and ColorOS share the same codebase, with ColorOS 17 bringing Oppo‑specific AI tools and design refinements. A rollout schedule has not been announced, but Oppo devices are likely to be updated first, followed by Realme models.
