REANIMAL wins Swedish Design Award presented by Prince Carl Philip

The cooperative horror game REANIMAL, developed by Tarsier Studios, has been honored with the Excellent Swedish Design Award 2026. The award was presented on August 27 by His Royal Highness Prince Carl Philip of Sweden.

In its official justification, the Svensk Form jury praised the project for its consistent and successful approach to environmental storytelling, atmosphere, and interactive design. The jury noted that the game expands the artistic possibilities of video games by inviting players to explore, interpret, and construct meaning within its world with exceptional precision.

Oliver Merlöv, CEO of Tarsier Studios, expressed that being recognized by a prestigious organization like Svensk Form is a significant honor. He stated that the studio aims to contribute to Sweden's international cultural presence through the development of games they are passionate about.
