Reap launches Reap Sentry managed fraud service for card programs

Fintech company Reap has announced the launch of Reap Sentry, a managed service designed to handle fraud and risk for card programs. The service aims to provide end-to-end transaction risk management, allowing clients to avoid the need for in-house fraud specialists or additional monitoring tools.

Reap Sentry performs several functions, including configuring fraud rules, screening authorizations in real time, investigating alerts, processing chargebacks, and reporting confirmed fraud to Visa. The service uses data and patterns observed from Reap’s eight years of card issuance to tailor controls to specific client business profiles, geographic footprints, and risk appetites.

The launch comes amid significant global fraud challenges. According to The Nilson Report, worldwide payment card fraud losses reached USD 33.41 billion in 2024, against a global card volume of USD 51.92 trillion.
