Reşat Yüzen distributes religious literature in Cappadocia for 30 years

In the Red Valley of Cappadocia, Nevşehir, 70-year-old Reşat Yüzen has spent 30 years providing religious information to tourists. Operating from a small 2-square-meter library in his garden, Yüzen distributes free translations of the Qur’an and religious brochures to visitors.

Yüzen maintains a collection of works in 15 different languages, sourced from mufti offices, publishers in Istanbul, and charitable donations. His goal is to ensure visitors gain accurate information about Islam. He engages with both domestic and international tourists, offering these materials as gifts rather than for sale.

Yüzen noted a significant personal milestone when an American tourist contacted him via telephone to express interest in Islam after reading the provided materials. The tourist later informed Yüzen that they had converted to Islam, an event Yüzen described as a profound validation of his decades of service.
