Reba McEntire honors Dolly Parton at Emmy Awards

Reba McEntire performed a tribute to Dolly Parton during the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, singing “Appalachian Memories.” The song, originally released on Parton’s 1983 album Burlap & Satin, reflects Parton’s childhood and roots in the Smoky Mountains.

McEntire and Parton have maintained a professional connection since 1977 and collaborated on a version of “Does He Love You” in 2021.

In addition to the tribute, McEntire is celebrating 50 years as a recording artist with a series of music capsules. Her latest release, an EP titled “Could Have Been Raining,” features a new title track alongside four selections from her catalog, centered around themes of rain and storms.
