Reba McEntire performs tribute to Dolly Parton at CMA event

Reba McEntire performed a tribute to Dolly Parton during the ‘CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton’ event. McEntire performed ‘He’s Alive’, a song Parton recorded for her 1989 album White Limozeen.

The performance included several symbolic nods to Parton’s own history with the song. McEntire wore a white gown with long, fringed sleeves to mirror the white dress with draped sleeves worn by Parton during her 1989 CMA Awards performance. Additionally, McEntire utilized the Belmont University Choir for the final chorus, replicating the use of a choir in Parton’s previous performances of the track.
