Rebeca Andrade records highest world vault score of 2026
Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade achieved the highest vault score in the world for 2026, recording 14.800 points during the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Brasília. Performing a Yurchenko with a double twist, she earned 9.7 for execution, 5.0 for difficulty, and 0.1 for a stuck landing.
Despite this record-breaking single-vault score, Andrade did not advance to the individual vault final. Competition regulations require two vaults to qualify for the final, and her technical staff strategically limited her to one attempt to manage her physical load. This decision aims to prioritize her preparation for the World Championships in Rotterdam, scheduled for October 17–25.
Her score contributed to Flamengo's performance in the team competition. Andrade, the most decorated Brazilian Olympian, is currently focusing on the upcoming World Championships to secure early qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
