Rebecca Black’s 2011 single “Friday” has been awarded RIAA Platinum certification in the United States, confirming sales of one million units. The track, once widely mocked as “the worst song ever,” has become an iconic pop‑culture moment and has amassed over 180 million views on YouTube.

Since its release, Black has built a music career that includes coming out as queer in 2020, releasing a debut album in 2023, and opening for Katy Perry on the Lifetimes Tour. She is set to issue her sophomore album “Age of the Exhibitionist” on September 4 and will launch a North American headlining tour, Exhibitionism on Tour, beginning September 23.
