Rebecca Gayheart updates on family following Eric Dane's death

Actress Rebecca Gayheart has provided an update on her family seven months after the death of her husband, actor Eric Dane. Dane, known for his roles in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Euphoria’, passed away in February 2026 at age 53 following a battle with ALS.

Gayheart shared that she and her daughters, Billie, 16, and Georgia, 14, are ‘hanging in there’ during what she described as a ‘challenging season.’ She noted that both girls are currently navigating the transitions of high school. Gayheart emphasized the importance of staying close to her children and relying on a support network of friends to cope with their grief.

In addition to personal updates, it was noted that 14-year-old Georgia has made her acting debut in the television film ‘The Ocean Between Them,’ appearing alongside her mother. Gayheart also mentioned her return to professional work with a musical adaptation of ‘Jawbreaker’ to set an example for her daughters regarding resilience and career commitment.
