Rebecca Passler targets World Cup top-ten finishes
Italian biathlete Rebecca Passler has discussed her preparation for the upcoming season and reflected on the personal challenges following a positive anti-doping test last January. Passler noted that while learning about the news through the media was difficult, she received significant solidarity from the biathlon community.
After an initial provisional suspension was overturned following an appeal, Passler returned to competition and achieved positive results, including a 16th-place finish in the Otepää sprint. She is currently working with a new coach, Egil Gjelland, and focusing on improving her shooting performance under challenging conditions.
Looking ahead to the new season, Passler expressed confidence in her summer training and set a clear competitive goal of achieving top-ten finishes in the World Cup. She specifically noted the importance of preparing for the windy conditions expected at the upcoming World Championships in Otepää, Estonia.
