Rebecca Romijn Returns as Mystique in Avengers: Doomsday

Actress Rebecca Romijn announced at San Diego Comic‑Con that she is reprising her role as Mystique in the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday. She said the new shoot feels more natural and she has "so much ownership" of the character, contrasting it with her difficult experience on X‑Men: The Last Stand under director Brett Ratner. Romijn, known for her work on the X‑Men franchise, also highlighted her simultaneous role as Una Chin‑Riley in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, noting the demanding schedule that took her between Toronto and London sets.
