Rebecca Yarros releases Threshing Day in Empyrean series

Rebecca Yarros has released Threshing Day, a new collection of short stories set within the Empyrean universe established in her bestselling Fourth Wing series. The volume consists of thirteen stories that explore the pivotal moment when cadets bond with dragons at the Basgiath War College.

Rather than serving as a direct sequel, the book provides deeper insight into existing characters such as Xaden, Rhiannon, Dain, Liam, and Ridoc. By focusing on the Threshing process, the stories offer new perspectives on character motivations and the relationships between riders and their dragons.

The Empyrean saga has seen significant commercial success, particularly within the romantasy genre. In the United States, Yarros's work has achieved massive sales, including the best-selling adult novel of the last 20 years in its first week. The series has been translated into 40 countries and maintains a strong presence on social media platforms like TikTok.
