Rebel Wolves confirms no 60 FPS mode for Blood of Dawnwalker on consoles
Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by former CD Projekt Red developers, has revealed technical details for its upcoming action RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker. The game is scheduled to launch on September 3, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S.
Console players will have access to two primary graphics modes: a Quality Mode targeting 30 FPS with dynamic 4K resolution, and a Balanced Mode targeting 40 FPS with similar resolution. Notably, the game will not feature a 60 FPS mode on any current-generation console, including the PlayStation 5 Pro. While the PS5 Pro version promises enhanced visual quality in both modes, its frame rate remains capped at 40 FPS.
In contrast, the PC version is expected to support smoother gameplay, with targets such as 60 FPS at 1440p. The studio has provided reasonable minimum PC requirements, including an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580. The lack of 60 FPS support on consoles has drawn significant criticism from the gaming community, with some players expressing disappointment and others considering switching to PC to ensure a smoother experience.
