Rebi Cuenca wins Trofeo Junta de Comunidades handball tournament

Rebi Cuenca won the Trofeo Junta de Comunidades handball tournament held at the Manzanares Arena. The victory followed a competitive triangular competition featuring top regional male teams.

In the opening match, Rebi Cuenca defeated Sanicentro BM Guadalajara with a score of 19-13. In the second match, BM Caserío Ciudad Real, led by Jorge Maqueda, secured a narrow 17-16 victory over Guadalajara.

The final match between Rebi Cuenca and Caserío Ciudad Real, both Asobal league representatives, determined the champion. Rebi Cuenca emerged victorious to claim the trophy.

Local officials, including the Vice-Counselor of Culture and Sports of Castilla-La Mancha, Carmen Teresa Olmedo, attended the trophy presentation. Olmedo noted a 56 percent increase in handball licenses since 2016.
