Reborn as a Space Mercenary anime sets October 2026 premiere

The anime series ‘Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship!’ has announced its premiere date for October 4, 2026. A new trailer and key visual have been released to promote the launch.

Produced by Studio A-CAT and directed by Norihiko Nagahama, the series is based on the light novels by Ryuto. The plot follows Satou Takahiro, who awakens in a world resembling his favorite science-fiction video game and operates as an interstellar mercenary under the name Hiro.

The musical lineup features the rock band FLOW performing the opening theme, ‘Unstoppable’, and the metal band ASTERISM performing the closing theme, ‘My Way’. The voice cast includes Makoto Furukawa as Hiro, Konomi Inagaki as Mimi, Anna Nagase as Elma, and Haruka Shiraishi as Serena. Additionally, Kana Ueda and Saori Onishi have joined the cast as Shoko and Mei, respectively.

In Japan, the series will broadcast on Tokyo MX, BS11, AT-X, Wowow, ytv, and Chukyo TV. International streaming will be available via Crunchyroll in select regions.
