Reborn House renovation transforms Bangkok suburb home

The Reborn House project, led by architect Rungkit Chareonwat and the Design Arena + Research team, renovated a 30‑year‑old residence in a suburban area of Bangkok, Thailand. The house, originally reflecting early modern Thai style with compartmentalised rooms, four‑slope roofs and wooden elements, lost privacy, security and green space after a new public road divided the neighbourhood.

The redesign, completed in 2024, covers 145 m² and incorporates products from Serge Ferrari, COTTO, Fameline, K. S. Wood, Kohler, Lamptitude, Shinkolite, Siamtak, Smile Design, Suzuka and Thai Soung. The intervention restores privacy, improves safety and re‑creates outdoor areas while respecting the building’s historic character.
