Re:Build raises $2.1 billion for US manufacturing expansion

Re:Build, a manufacturing group based in Framingham, Massachusetts, has secured $2.1 billion in new funding to expand its advanced manufacturing platform. The investment round was led by General Catalyst and JPMorganChase’s Strategic Investment Group.

The capital is intended to increase US production capacity and support growth across several sectors, including aerospace, defense, electrification, medical, energy, robotics, and automation. Since its founding in 2020, the company has grown to employ over 2,100 people and operates more than 2.4 million square feet of manufacturing capacity.

Re:Build utilizes a proprietary approach called Manufacturing Constrained Design to integrate production requirements early in the design process. The company operates through two models: partnering with industrial firms for large-scale production and incubating industrial startups. This latest financing brings the total capital raised by the founding team to more than $4 billion.
