Rebuild Ukraine Forum addresses reconstruction and security

The Rebuild Ukraine Forum 2026 brought together international experts, officials, and regional leaders to discuss the strategic reconstruction, security, and economic future of Ukraine.

Security discussions focused on the NATO eastern flank and the Black Sea, with Romanian Foreign Minister Dan Neculăescu highlighting Romania’s role as a logistics hub and its active countermeasures against aerial threats. Panels also addressed legal mechanisms for post-war reparations, exploring how to hold Russia accountable through international justice, sanctions, and the use of frozen assets.

Economic sessions highlighted specific regional investment opportunities. In the Vinnytsia region, discussions centered on agricultural innovation, renewable energy, and industrial development. Meanwhile, the Ivano-Frankivsk region was presented as a growing economic hub with increased business registrations and industrial parks, offering tax incentives and digitalized business registration through the Diia application.

Additionally, municipal leaders discussed local administration strategies, such as the implementation of the Kaizen management method in Buzău, Romania, and potential partnerships between Romanian and Ukrainian cities to facilitate knowledge exchange and economic cooperation.
