Rebuilt Arpaçay Kütük Ev in Kars Opens with Modern Facilities

The Arpaçay Kütük Ev, a boutique hotel on the shore of Çıldır Lake in Kars Province, has been completely rebuilt after a devastating fire on 9 October 2023. Using durable Russian‑sourced timber, the new 500‑square‑metre complex features five guest rooms, indoor and outdoor restaurants with lake views, a café, extensive picnic areas, pavilions, barbecue spots and a children’s playground. The facility is operated jointly by the Kars Governor’s Office and the provincial special administration and is located 61 km from Kars city centre and 22 km from the Arpaçay district centre.

Visitors can now enjoy summer boat tours on the lake and winter horse‑sled rides on the frozen surface, with the upgraded hotel offering modern amenities while preserving the region’s natural appeal.
