Italy reports multiple fatal and serious accidents including aircraft crash

Multiple traffic and aviation accidents have been reported across various Italian regions.

In Recanati, an ultralight P92 Eaglet aircraft crashed into an industrial warehouse during an attempted landing at the Madonna di Loreto airfield. The pilot, who was in critical condition with abdominal injuries and internal bleeding, was transferred to Torrette Hospital in Ancona via helicopter. The passenger sustained multiple traumas but is not considered to be in life-threatening condition.

Several fatal and serious road accidents also occurred. In Venarotta, a 24-year-old man died following a collision between two cars. In Bitonto, a 67-year-old woman passed away at the Bari Policlinico after losing control of her vehicle on the SP88. Other incidents include a head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle on the island of Elba, resulting in two injuries, and two separate motorcycle accidents in Castelluccio di Norcia involving a maneuver to avoid a car and an encounter with a loose dog.

In Paternò, a woman was hospitalized after being struck by a scooter driven by a teenager while exiting a commercial establishment.
