Recanati: Vandalism and death threats at Fonti San Lorenzo Center

Vandals targeted the Fonti San Lorenzo Center in Recanati during the night, leaving swastikas and explicit death threats directed at an educator. The intruders also emptied two fire extinguishers throughout the facility's accessible internal spaces.

Representatives from the association stated that this is not an isolated incident. For approximately one year, the center—which has hosted the municipal toy library and youth aggregation services since 2012—has been subject to repeated vandalism, physical aggression, and threats linked to local youth marginalization.

Despite ongoing dialogue with the municipal administration and cooperation with the Carabinieri and local police, the violence has escalated. While some individuals had previously been issued bans from the premises, the association noted that the recent raid represents a significant escalation in the ongoing challenges regarding social security and youth education in the area.
