Recanto Cataratas Resort opens Maestra event center in Foz do Iguaçu

Recanto Cataratas Resort in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, inaugurated its new Maestra Event Center on 7 May. The 12,000 m² complex features a modular ballroom that can accommodate more than 4,500 people, a high‑ceiling foyer, underground parking for 152 vehicles and twelve meeting rooms. CEO Munir José Calaça said the space was designed “based on market needs” and that “the new Center represents much more than an infrastructure expansion.”

The opening ceremony included a performance by veteran singer Ney Matogrosso, who entertained roughly two thousand guests. The resort’s owners, Altino Voltolini and Munir Calaça, highlighted the project as a major private investment aimed at strengthening Foz do Iguaçu’s position as a leading destination for business and event tourism.
