Receita Federal auctions seized emeralds and electronics in São Paulo
The Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (Receita Federal) is conducting an electronic auction in São Paulo featuring 400 lots of seized merchandise. Notable items include 2,500 carats of emeralds valued at R$ 1.5 million, iPhone 17 units, PlayStation 5 consoles, smartwatches, notebooks, and cryptocurrency mining machines. The inventory also contains vehicles, aircraft parts, and various household appliances.
The auction process consists of two stages: a closed phase for submitting proposals and an open bidding phase. To advance to the open phase, bidders must submit an offer equal to or up to 10% lower than the highest value presented. While both individuals and legal entities may participate, individuals are prohibited from commercial resale of the products. Buyers are responsible for collecting their items within 30 days.
