Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Camii construction advances in Rize

The mosque named after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is under construction on a reclaimed coastal site in Rize, Turkey. The project, promoted as a major new landmark for the city, continues at a rapid pace.

High Advisory Council member and 27th‑term parliamentary speaker İsmail Kahraman inspected the site alongside Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş, Mayor Rahmi Metin and other officials. Kahraman said the building reflects substantial investment in the region and highlighted the public’s request that the mosque bear the president’s name. He praised the infrastructure and expressed confidence that the completed mosque will become a prominent addition to Rize’s skyline.
