Recep Tayyip Erdoğan outlines vision for Century of Turkey

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has articulated his long-term vision for the ‘Century of Turkey,’ emphasizing a commitment to national ideals and regional peace. Speaking in Ahlat, Erdoğan utilized the historical metaphor of ‘tying the horse’s tail’ to signal a point of no return in pursuing his objectives.

His stated goals include constructing the ‘Century of Turkey’ and achieving a ‘terror-free Turkey and region.’ He expressed a desire to transform the surrounding geography into a land of peace and prosperity by removing the threat of terrorism, which he described as a dagger to national brotherhood.

However, the pursuit of these ideals faces political complexities. Challenges include the constitutional limitations regarding his term ending in 2028 and the political maneuvering required as the leader of the AK Party to navigate upcoming electoral cycles and domestic political dialogues.
