Recife hosts 1st Festival of Rights in peripheral communities

The Recife City Hall, through the Secretariat of Human Rights and Youth, is hosting the 1st Festival of Rights – Citizenship and Culture in the Periphery. The event is scheduled for Saturday (12) at Campo Nacional do Ibura and Sunday (13) at Largo da Bomba do Hemetério.

The festival aims to bring public policies closer to local communities by providing essential services, information, and citizenship opportunities. The program includes the Caravana de Direitos, which offers document issuance such as RGs and guidance on the ID Jovem. Health services will also be available, including vaccinations, blood pressure and glucose monitoring, HIV self-testing, and STI testing.

In addition to social and health services, the event features a cultural program with 15 musical performances intended to highlight the creativity and protagonism of the peripheral territories of Recife.
