The city of Recife is set to host two major cultural events starting next Wednesday. The Recife Journalism Festival, organized by Kátia Cubel, will feature 15 high-level speakers, including Basília Rodrigues, Breno Pires, Rodrigo Rangel, Eldo Gomes, and Patrícia Blanco. The event is primarily aimed at journalism students and includes a keynote address by Chico José.

Simultaneously, the 17th edition of the Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife will begin at the Cinema São Luiz. Curated by Kleber Mendonça Filho and Pedro Azevedo Moreira, the festival showcases 31 works, including feature films, shorts, and television productions. The program highlights Pernambuco cinematography with 15 titles and includes international works such as Céline Sciamma’s 'Tutti-Frutti' and the documentary 'Tudo Pode Ser Visto'. The festival also features a tribute to the late filmmaker Jomard Muniz de Britto.
