Recife hotel market shows high demand and rising daily rates

Recife is experiencing high interest from travelers, according to data from the Hotel Report produced by Omnibees and Hotelier News. The capital of Pernambuco recorded 141 million searches over a 30-day period, ranking second in the state for most-searched destinations, trailing only Ipojuca.

Despite high demand, there is a significant opportunity for the hospitality sector to improve conversion rates. Data shows that 81% of consulted dates had availability, which is 15 percentage points higher than the average availability for other major destinations in Pernambuco. This suggests that while interest is high, there is room to better transform searches into confirmed bookings.

Economic indicators show growth in the sector, with room nights in Recife increasing by 3.7% in 2026, contrasting with a 7.6% contraction across the rest of Pernambuco. Additionally, average daily rates have risen significantly, moving from R$ 372 in 2024 to R$ 439 in 2026, representing an 18.1% increase over two years.
