Recife urban transformation discussed at RetrofitNE event

The RetrofitNE event, organized by Tecomat Engenharia, brought together public officials, real estate market representatives, architects, and engineers to discuss urban transformation in Recife. The discussions focused on how retrofitting existing buildings can facilitate the reoccupation of urban areas and contribute to new uses for historic structures.

The event was divided into two main segments: “City, Legislation and Business” and “Engineering and Risk Analysis.” The first part addressed public policies for the reoccupation of downtown Recife, featuring presentations on urban legislation and real estate opportunities. The second part addressed the technical challenges and risk assessments involved in intervening in existing buildings.
