Recinpra factory in Pravia processes 1,200 tons of plastic monthly

Recinpra, a waste management company located in Pravia, Asturias, has become a pioneer in circular economy practices by recycling 1,200 tons of plastic per month. The facility transforms waste, such as used bottles and polypropylene from car bumpers, into new products including bottles, trays, pallets, zippers, and automotive components.

The family-owned business has doubled its production from 600 tons two years ago and is currently testing a new production line in Peñaullán. This expansion is expected to increase monthly output by an additional 1,300 tons. The plant maintains a high efficiency rate, losing less than five percent of the incoming waste material during the recycling process.
