Reciplasa to build advanced waste treatment plant in Onda

Reciplasa has approved the general guidelines for the construction of a new, advanced waste treatment plant in Onda, Spain. The project aims to utilize modern technologies to become one of the most advanced facilities in the country and the most modern in the Valencian Community.

The facility is designed to process up to 72% of waste, reducing the amount of refuse sent to landfills to 28%. This design aligns with European directives focused on increasing recycling rates and reducing landfill use. Reciplasa currently manages waste for 46 municipalities, including several of the most populated areas in the province.

Construction is projected to begin in 2027, with the plant expected to be operational within two to three years following the start of works, depending on the complexity of the bidding and construction processes.
