Reckitt appoints Ujunwa Chukwumah as West Africa General Manager

Reckitt has appointed Ujunwa Chukwumah as General Manager for West Africa, effective September 15, 2026. The appointment marks a significant milestone for the health and hygiene company, as Chukwumah becomes the first Nigerian woman to lead the business in the region.

Chukwumah brings over 19 years of commercial and transformational leadership experience across Africa to the role. She joins Reckitt from Diageo, where she served as Commercial Director for West and Central Africa. Her previous experience also includes senior leadership positions at Procter & Gamble.

In her new capacity, Chukwumah will oversee operations in several key markets, including Nigeria, Ghana, and Cote d’Ivoire. Her mandate includes accelerating commercial performance, driving sustainable growth, and building organizational capability to meet the evolving needs of consumers in Sub-Saharan Africa.
