Reckless driving incidents damage roads in Spain and Argentina

A driver in the Barcelona metropolitan area was recorded driving partially against traffic to avoid newly installed speed‑reduction zones on the C‑16 highway between Sant Quirze del Vallès and Rubí. The maneuver, captured by a road‑safety account, increased the risk of collision before the driver returned to the correct lane.

In Tandil, Argentina, another driver ignored a temporary road‑closure sign and entered a street where fresh concrete pavement was still curing. The vehicle’s passage caused damage that will require part of the new pavement to be redone, prompting a criminal complaint by the municipality.

Both incidents highlight the hazards of ignoring traffic control measures and the potential for public‑infrastructure damage caused by reckless driving.
