Germany and Luxembourg police conduct traffic enforcement and arson investigation
Various regions in Germany, Luxembourg, and Saarland are conducting widespread traffic enforcement and police activities. In the Recklinghausen district and Dorsten, authorities have announced scheduled speed camera operations, including mobile radar cars and stationary units. In Dorsten, municipal services are also conducting patrols to enforce regulations regarding dog owners, such as the requirement to carry waste bags.
In the Trier region, police are conducting speed checks across Germany, Luxembourg, and Saarland. Meanwhile, in Iserlohn and Altena, recent radar controls resulted in 652 vehicles being recorded, with dozens of drivers facing fines for speeding, including one driver recorded at 84 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
Separately, in Dorsten-Wulfen-Barkenberg, police are investigating a suspected case of arson after a scooter was completely destroyed by fire in front of an apartment building. A witness reported seeing two youths, aged approximately 15 to 17, near the vehicle shortly before the fire broke out.
