Recklinghausen to open temporary container daycare in November

The city of Recklinghausen is set to open the ‘Starter-Kita Hibernia’ on November 1. This new childcare facility will initially operate out of container units located on the grounds of the Hinsberg primary school.

The interim solution will provide 80 places for children aged three and older, organized into four groups. The facility is intended to serve as a temporary measure until a permanent municipal daycare center, featuring eight groups, is completed on the site of the former Hibernia combat arena.

Key features of the new facility include a focus on language support and special education services. Parents can currently register their interest through the Recklinghausen Kita-Navigator, though registration does not guarantee a placement.
