Reclaimer Industries' bio-organic fertiliser expands from India to UK farms

Entrepreneurs Abhijith Padukaana and Advaith Suresh, founders of the agri-biotech startup Reclaimer Industries Limited, have developed a liquid bio-organic fertiliser that has seen successful trials in the United Kingdom.

The product, which originated in Wayanad, India, is composed of 19 types of bacteria and naturally occurring soil microorganisms. It is specifically designed to restore soil health in areas degraded by the prolonged use of chemical pesticides and fertilisers. During trials conducted across 92 farms in Hertfordshire, covering more than 25,000 hectares, farmers reported improvements in soil quality, crop yields, and plant disease resistance.

The venture’s research and development are supported by the University of Hertfordshire, which has recognized the company with the Best Positive Impact award and the 2026 Flare Enterprise Champion award. While the product was initially intended for local Indian farmers, the entrepreneurs are now focusing on expanding into the UK market.
