Recoleta gas station stabbing leaves father and son injured

A violent altercation at a YPF gas station in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires left two people injured after a man attacked them with a knife. The incident occurred on a Sunday night at the intersection of Paraguay and Montevideo.

The conflict began when 36-year-old Miguel Pérez Allen attempted to refuel his vehicle with compressed natural gas (GNC), but station employees refused the service because his mandatory certification sticker was expired. The dispute escalated into a physical fight between the driver and the staff.

Miguel Ángel Sosa, 61, and his son, Josué, 28, attempted to intervene to de-escalate the situation. During the intervention, Pérez Allen drew a knife and attacked them. Josué sustained a wound to his neck, while his father was stabbed in the thigh. Both victims were treated at Hospital Fernández and are reported to be out of danger.

Police arrested Pérez Allen at the scene after he attempted to discard the weapon in a trash bin. Authorities noted that the suspect had prior criminal records for violent incidents and property damage.
