Various health and social welfare initiatives in Spain have been recognized through several award ceremonies.

Fundación Caser held its Dependency and Society Awards, honoring projects that address social challenges. Key winners include Asaenes Salud Mental Sevilla for addressing loneliness in mental health, the Valladolid City Council for using artificial intelligence to detect loneliness in the elderly, and Fundación Miradas for autism detection efforts. Special mentions were given to the film ‘Sorda’ and Leo Gutiérrez for his work with epidermolysis bullosa.

In the private healthcare sector, Recoletas Salud’s ‘Pulso Vital’ program received the Innovation in Preventive Care award at the Aspe 2026 Awards for its work in detecting atrial fibrillation to prevent strokes. Additionally, the Grupo Joly Health and Wellbeing Awards jury met in Seville to evaluate initiatives aimed at improving patient quality of life.

In the nursing profession, five professionals from Almería were named finalists for the National Nursing Awards. Meanwhile, in Asturias, the ‘Haz+’ awards recognized organizations such as the Food Bank Foundation and Parkinson Asturias for their contributions to the regional social fabric and the welfare state.
