Record ARS 51.6 bn investment expands water supply and sanitation in Rosario, Argentina

Governor Maximiliano Pullaro opened the bidding process for two major public works in Greater Rosario: the second stage of the Gran Rosario Aqueduct and the rehabilitation of the final stretch of the Emisario Sur. The projects together require an official investment of more than 51.650 billion Argentine pesos and aim to broaden the provision of potable water and strengthen urban sanitation infrastructure in one of the country's largest metropolitan areas.

Pullaro said the works will "change the life of Rosario" and are part of the Acuerdo Rosario plan agreed with Mayor Pablo Javkin. He stressed that the Santa Fe provincial government continues to invest despite a difficult economic context, using savings from efficient state management to match the investment volume of the previous eight years in just 30 months. Public Works Minister Lisandro Enrico highlighted the political commitment that taxes paid by Santafesinos are being returned in projects that improve residents' quality of life. The province claims it has the resources to pay for all works without delays while planning further interventions.
