Record premieres Turkish soap opera Iludida to boost ratings
The Brazilian broadcaster Record is premiering the Turkish soap opera ‘Iludida’ in its prime-time slot to recover viewership numbers. The network has recently faced a decline in audience ratings following a 75-day period of broadcasting religious productions, which saw a significant drop in engagement compared to previous foreign titles.
Lead actress Cansu Dere, who previously gained popularity in Brazil through the production ‘Mãe’, discussed the series in an interview. She noted that the story’s themes of trust and betrayal in relationships are universal, allowing for a connection between Turkish and Brazilian audiences. The plot follows Asya, a successful doctor whose life is upended by her husband’s infidelity, leading to a journey of emotional conflict and revenge.
