West High Yield Resources Ltd., the company behind the Record Ridge open-pit mine project, maintains that these concerns have been addressed through years of regulatory review by government authorities and professional consultants. Company director Barry Baim stated that the project includes dust suppression and water management measures and that the company is committed to complying with all provincial safety and environmental thresholds.
A court hearing regarding the Mines Act permit for the project is scheduled for November.
