Record Rise in Global Millionaires in 2025 Revealed by Wealth Report

The 2026 World Wealth Report released by Capgemini shows that global high‑net‑worth wealth reached a record $98.3 trillion in 2025, an 8.7% increase from the prior year. The number of individuals with at least $1 million in investable assets grew 7.9% to 25.3 million worldwide. In the United States, 736,000 new millionaires were added, bringing the U.S. total to 8.7 million. Africa’s millionaire population rose 4.1%, led by Morocco, which saw a 16.8% jump driven by a stronger financial‑services sector, rising real‑estate values and diversified private‑sector growth. Ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals (assets over $30 million) increased 9.4% to 250,000, with their collective wealth up 9.7%. The report links the surge to AI‑driven equity rallies and easing inflation, while noting that wealth remains highly concentrated—1% of HNWIs control 34.8% of total wealth.
