Recovery wear market expands with Takarajimasha collaborations and Lawson retail launch
The market for fatigue recovery wear, utilizing ceramic fibers to promote blood circulation and reduce muscle stiffness, is expanding through new collaborations and retail availability in Japan.
Takarajimasha has launched a series of collaboration products for its ‘Recoverypro Lab.’ line, featuring designs from four popular magazines: ‘Linnel’, ‘MonoMax’, ‘InRed’, and ‘Otona no Oshare Techo’. These collections cater to specific lifestyles, ranging from warmth-focused sets to business-appropriate innerwear and fashion-forward casual wear. Additionally, the brand is releasing character-themed designs, including collaborations with ‘Arknights’, ‘Moomin’, ‘Star Wars’, and Disney.
To increase accessibility, Takarajimasha has begun selling its standard recovery wear at approximately 4,500 Lawson convenience stores nationwide. With this expansion into convenience stores, the total number of retail locations, including bookstores and department stores, has grown to approximately 6,600 stores. The ‘Recoverypro Lab.’ series has surpassed 950,000 units in cumulative sales.
Other players in the sector, such as AOKI, also offer recovery wear like ‘Recovery Care Plus’, which uses high-concentration ceramic fibers to radiate far-infrared energy to support fatigue recovery through improved blood flow.
