Regional athletic races held across Mexico and Ecuador

Various regional athletic events and community races have taken place across Mexico and Ecuador, focusing on health, youth engagement, and social causes.

In Mexico, several cities hosted significant runs. Xalapa held its eighth Social Running event with over 8,000 participants to celebrate Youth Month. In Guadalajara, more than 10,000 runners participated in the XXII International 10K Comude and Firefighters race. San Andrés Cholula hosted the “Corre por las Juventudes” race with approximately 2,000 runners, while Saltillo organized the “5K Unidos por la Seguridad” and the inaugural “Runteño 5K,” which featured a northern Mexican theme. Other local events included the CarneMart 2026 race in Chihuahua and a cycling crusade in Ciudad Juárez.

In Ecuador, Samborondón hosted the sixth edition of SamboRunDón, attracting over 2,000 runners across various distances. Additionally, the eleventh Bimbo Global Race is scheduled for September 27 in Guayaquil, where each registration will donate 20 slices of bread to the Diakonía Food Bank to support vulnerable communities.
