recri raises cumulative funding to approximately 400 million yen
recri, a Japanese company operating a monthly ticket subscription service for plays, musicals, and concerts, has announced a third-party allotment of shares. The funding round includes investors such as GENDA Capital, NES, Headline Asia, Kulture, dof, Carbon Ventures, and QR Investment, bringing the company's cumulative funding to approximately 400 million yen.
Through its subscription model, recri uses a diagnostic tool to recommend entertainment based on user preferences. The company aims to use the new capital to expand its lineup of performances and develop original premium experiences. recri currently partners with 110 entertainment companies, including broadcasters and theaters, and has sold over 50,000 tickets.
Additionally, the company has launched a new interview series on its web media platform, ‘recri magazine’, titled ‘Thinking About the Future of the Stage’. The series features industry leaders, such as Norihiro Uda of Toho Co., Ltd., to discuss industry challenges, growth strategies, and the value of live performances in the digital age.
