Recruit releases 2026 SUUMO livability rankings for Fukuoka and Kansai

Recruit has released its ‘SUUMO Livable Cities Ranking 2026’ for both the Fukuoka and Kansai regions, based on internet surveys of residents.

In Fukuoka Prefecture, Yakuin-odori in Fukuoka City secured the top spot for the third consecutive time. The area was praised for its convenience via the Nanakuma Subway Line, its variety of cafes and shops, and the increasing availability of coworking spaces. Other top stations in Fukuoka include Ohori Park and Kushida Shrine-mae. For child-rearing, Nishijin ranked first due to its strong educational environment and library facilities.

In the Kansai region, Sakura Shukugawa took first place, with high marks for its local food culture and community attachment. In Osaka, Tanimachi 9-chome led the rankings, while Zeze was the top station in Shiga Prefecture. Regarding child-rearing in Kansai, Minoh Senba Handai-mae ranked first, supported by its extensive library and educational infrastructure.
