Recruitment transparency issues hinder the labor market
A lack of transparency and poor communication in recruitment processes is hindering the labor market. Research indicates that 59 percent of employers are perceived as difficult to reach during the application process. Furthermore, 54 percent of applicants reported receiving no feedback at all after submitting an application.
Experts suggest that these issues often stem from unclear responsibilities, poorly integrated systems, or a corporate culture that de-prioritizes applicant communication. While silence may seem to save time in the short term, it creates long-term costs such as increased inquiries, withdrawn applications, and negative employer branding. Implementing digital status tracking could reduce uncertainty and administrative burden by providing automated updates on application stages.
