Regional infrastructure and environmental initiatives underway in Latin America

Various regional governments are implementing infrastructure and environmental initiatives. In Paraguay, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications is reinforcing rural roads in San Pedro, Cordillera, and Guairá to prevent damage from El Niño-related rains.

In Argentina, Chubut Governor Ignacio Torres announced that Aldea Beleiro will receive gas network access for the first time in 104 years through the Plan Galina. The initiative includes installing a LPG plant, constructing housing, and improving local health and waste management facilities.

In Chaco, Argentina, Governor Leandro Zdero delivered new machinery to road consortia in Tres Isletas to maintain rural paths and clean drainage systems ahead of forecasted precipitation.

In Panama, Dos Pinos subsidiary Productos Nevada reported sustainability progress, noting the recovery of 1,220 tons of post-consumer waste, primarily plastics, as part of its 2030 circular economy goals.
